Mai Emmerson

I am an Employment Adviser on the Southwark Works programme, Supporting Southwark residents who have been unemployed for a period to gain sustainable employment, develop their skills and gain the relevant qualifications to support them with their long-term career goals.

My Experience and Skills

I studied Psychology BSc and Graduated in 2018, I then went on to work in the Mental Health sector. During my time working in mental health, I supported individuals that had recently been discharged from hospital, reclaim their independence and integrate back into the community. Some key aspects of the role included assisting customers with accessing benefits, employment, education and keeping on-top of their mental well-being. I found supporting people take control of their lives to be very rewarding. A huge aspect of this is entering or re-entering the world of work and establish the foundations of your career. At Renaisi, we aim to help people in every way we can to gain control and kick-start their journey in the workplace.

My Interests

I enjoy socialising with friends , spending time with family and travelling.
